Meet Your Farmer Events:  our way of cultivating community through a shared meal and an informal presentation and conversation with you farmers.
We value opportunities to get closer our food source
and learning about how our food is grown and raised.
To Meet Your Farmer is an engaging way to close the
food circuit and learn more about the meal set out in front of you.

Cooking Classes in collaboration with Fresh Thymes: 
Classes will be held at Fresh Thymes Marketplace starting in September 2018.  Check back soon for more info and class schedule. 

Food Challenges:  BKC provides a platform for gyms and any group looking to offer a simplified approach to the challenge they present.  All food for the challenge can be provided to those interested in making their food selection easier and healthier by offering menu options to fit the needs of the challenge.

Abby Knowles

Chef and Co-Owner of Boulder Kitchen Collective, began her culinary career at the age of 16 as a dishwasher. The allure of both fine cuisine and nutrition pushed her to pursue higher endeavors. She worked under several nationally known chef’s and staged at the longest running Mobil’s five-star restaurant, The Maisonette, in her hometown of Cincinnati, OH.

Abby went on to Study Environmental Studies at the University of Colorado and then onto Western Culinary Institute (Le Cordon Bleu) in Portland, OR. After graduating she moved back to her hometown to work under Chef Jean-Robert de Cavel at the four-star restaurant, Pigall’s. She worked her way up the line and then onto help open Lavomatic as Sous-Chef under de Cavel’s restaurant group.

Abby then chose to step back from the restaurant world to start her family. Her husband Drew and she have two daughters and currently reside in Boulder, CO. Abby previously owned a natural food company, Life of Riley Foods, from 2012 - 2016 but decided she truly missed being in the kitchen and preparing the foods she loved to share. 

Christy Pierce

Managing Director and Co-Owner of Boulder Kitchen Collective, Christy is a Boulder, CO native who has always been driven by curiosity. She received her master’s degree in Educational Psychology from the University of Colorado Denver. She has worked as an Applied Behavioral Therapist, educational therapist and teacher. Christy has always had a passion for food and sustainability. Often, you can catch her sharing joy though food; gathering people to share a meal, gardening, beekeeping and entertaining are among her favorite things to do. Her background may be rooted in education, however, experience has taught her to understand she thrives when aiding in creating meaningful connections. Boulder Kitchen Collective is the culmination of her experience and the perfect platform to cultivate connections, share stories, educate and create shared experiences through food.
